Til freedom's light shines in every land, bloody waters cover this darkened earth;
crimson tides amidst crashing waves; scarlet streams and countless drops,
with floods of tears through saddened eyes.
Be strong and of good courage loyal countrymen,
well done faithful daughters, well done fearless sons.
Welcome home!
For these are the ones upon whom heaven smiles,
these are the ones highly esteemed from above:
Your mother and father; for they have long-suffered you.
The young and old who have borne the reproach of Christ.
Whosoever has stretched out their hands to the poor and needy...
...in the causes of justice and righteousness.
And the soldier, the civil servant, who have sacrificed themselves for others.
